What paint colours would I need for Tamiya 1/24 Jaguar XJ220 Construction Kit?

I am going to buy theTamiya 1/24 Jaguar XJ220 Construction Kit on the internet but when I do I also want to know what paint colours to use before I get the instructions but instead of painting the body of the car red I will paint it black so my questions are: Will Black look good? and What colours do I need

2. Black would look fine. There are specific Tamiya paints, but if your local hobby shop doesn't stock them just use the usual Humbrol paints. Make sure to use enamel paint as matt paint doesn't have the shine. But really it's up to you what colour you paint it. You don't have to paint it the same colour as on the box. Edit: I forgot to say also, you'll need matt black paint for the tyres. Maybe some paint for the wheels, and also for the interior of the car, depending on whether or not it's already coloured. And remember the glue (polystyrene cement) if it's a plastic kit.
3. If i get a British car on test drive unlimited i usually paint it British racing green or a dark green that comes very close and that looks very cool on a jag XJ220 coz there designed for racing and are whats called a super car
